Guy McCoy

Guy A. McCoy, 75, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Monday morning, November 12, 2018 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 12, 1943 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Charles A. McCoy and Reatha I. Bowders McCoy. Guy was a 1961 graduate of the Greencastle Antrim High School and worked most of his life in the grocery business and in home repair. He was a member of King Street Church where he served with the music ministry as a media operator. He was a member of Rescue Hose Company # 1 in Greencastle for many years and had served as a volunteer with the Civil Air Patrol. Guy was an avid musician. He enjoyed golfing; sailing; and riding with the Gold Wing motorcycle club.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Mose McCoy whom he married February 14, 1986; his son, Curtis A. McCoy and wife Christine of Dillsburg; his daughter Tina M. Clever and husband Chris of Shady Grove; his step-son Carl R. Blair and wife Tricia of Florida; and his step-daughter Kimberly M. Bowman and husband Eric of Boonsboro, MD. He is also survived by three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and a step-great grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Guy D. and Mary S. Bowders.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 19, 2018 at King Street Church, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Jody Bowser and Rev. Ron Cook will officiate. Interment will be private. There will be a viewing from 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA and on Monday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to King Street Church, 162 East King Street, or to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, both in Chambersburg, PA 17201.
