Harold Evans

Harold B. “Bruce” Evans, 72, of Chambersburg, PA, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at his home. Born September 6, 1940 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Harold F. and Bernice E. Jaeger Evans. Bruce most recently worked as a car salesman at Herb Gordon Nissan in Silver Spring, MD. A sports fan, Bruce was an avid NASCAR fan and Washington Redskins fan. He and his wife Shirley were very grateful for the love and support shown from their friends Johanna and William Rafferty and Wayne and Eddie Porell.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Streeks Evans, whom he married on September 24, 1990; his two children, Colleen Murphy of Gaithersburg, MD, and Kelly Pertesis of NJ; Shirley’s three children, William J. Lusby of TX, Shirley A. Tomlinson of FL, and Brenda M. Cadmus of TX; and Shirley’s six grandchildren.

Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Services and interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Bruce’s name to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
