Harold Renfrew

June 3, 1961 — February 22, 2015

Harold “Ronnie” Renfrew, age 53, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his home. Born June 3, 1961 in Chambersburg, he was the son of Thelma Jean Meminger (husband Theodore “Ted” Meminger) and the late Harold Ronald Ulrich.
A 1979 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School, he went on to serve in the U.S. Navy honorably in the “Seabees” from 1979 – 1985. Ronnie worked at MTD Erectors as a lead foreman for the last 15 years. A “Jack of all Trades”, he enjoyed working on cars, rebuilding engines, and building things. A gifted artist, Ronnie enjoyed drawing and model cars. He also enjoyed sprint car racing, NASCAR, where he was an avid Dale, Sr. fan, picnics at Cowan’s Gap, hunting, especially archery, weight lifting, and the Dallas Cowboys. Above all else, Ronnie’s most prized possession was his family and spending time with his girls, he referred to his family as his “home team”.
Surviving are three daughters, Ashley Olson (husband Jared) of Chambersburg, PA, Heather Renfrew of Chambersburg, PA, and Erica McDannell of Chambersburg, PA; one granddaughter, Madison Olson; three siblings, Jeanne Renfrew Mills (husband Gary) of Chambersburg, PA, Julie Renfrew Reese of St. Mary’s, GA, and Kenny Renfrew of Shippensburg, PA; and his companion, Michelle Barry and her sons and grandson.
In honor of Ronnie a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 3 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Rick Noll will officiate. All are invited to dress casually, just as Ronnie would. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made (in Memo section of the check, put Ron Renfrew) to the above church and address to help the family defray expenses.
