Hazel Knoll

Hazel M. Knoll, 89, of Chambersburg, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Providence Place in Chambersburg. Born November 18, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Howard B. and Kathryn M. Herr Knoll.

Hazel was a 1947 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. She was employed as a secretary at King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg for 47 years, retiring in 1994. She was also a member of the Buds of Promise Sunday School Class at King Street. She also enjoyed reading and scrapbooking.

Hazel is survived by her siblings, Margaret K. Huber, Glenn W. Knoll, Ruth K. Shannon, and Arlene K. Graham (husband Donald E.), all of Chambersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Donald Knoll, and a sister, Evelyn Hoover.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, in the chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, with Rev. Paul B. Baker and Rev. Lester F. Stine officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to King St. Church, 162 E King St, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
