Hazel J. Sears, age 78, of Chambersburg passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at her home. Born December 23, 1937 in Doylesburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Edna Yocum.
Hazel worked as a seamstress for Stanley Co. in Chambersburg and most recently, Franklin Clothing Outlet until her retirement in December of 2010. Hazel enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, and doing word finds.
She is survived by two grandchildren; Benjamin Dillman, and April Dillman and Fiancé James Clark of Fayetteville, great grandson; Camden, son-in-law; Kenneth Dillman and wife Cathy of Blairs Mills, and four sisters; Louise Neil, Thelma Hockenberry, Patricia Presso, and Susan Geyer. In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Dillman, and two brothers; Carl and Harvey “Pete” Yocum.
A memorial service will be held for Hazel at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
