Hazel Weber

May 16, 1916 — January 29, 2012

Hazel Bloodsworth Weber, age 95, of Chambersburg, died on January 29, 2012 at Shook Home in Chambersburg. She was born on May 16, 1916 in Laurel, Mississippi. She married Victor E. Weber on December 25, 1942, in Forrest County, Mississippi, and was happily married to him for 64 years. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. While at Shook Home, she looked forward to bingo, enjoying the visiting entertainers and watching football, especially Penn State.

When stationed in Germany in the late 1950's, they traveled from the Netherlands to Italy and from France to Switzerland. Following her husband's retirement from the US Army in 1968, they spent over twenty years traveling throughout the US and Canada in their various trailers and motorhomes. RVing was their passion and favorite pastime.

Hazel was predeceased by her husband, her three brothers, Grady, Lester, and Ray, and her sister, Madge Hrivnak. She is survived by her four children: Barbara (and her husband, George) Krauthamer, Gayle (and her husband, Tom) Starr, Stephanie (and her husband, Mike) Molohon, and Ron (and his wife, Sandra). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
