Hector Melendez Rivera

Hector Luis Melendez Rivera, age 42, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away unexpectedly at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York, PA on Friday, October 8, 2021. Born in Byamon, Puerto Rico on September 2, 1979, he was the son of Hector Luis Melendez and Rosa Maria Rivera.
Hector worked at World Kitchens for the last eight years. He was a member of Maranatha Church in Chambersburg. Hector enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Rosmally Luisa Castro Cruz; three children, Kevian Torres Castro, Luis Melendez Castro, and Jerian Melendez Castro; and two siblings, Aileen Melendez Rivera and Mailyn Melendez Rivera.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 2 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Carlos Monserrate will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
