Helen Daniels

Helen Sue Daniels, 81, of Chambersburg, PA, died Wednesday morning, June 12, 2013 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 29, 1932 in Elba, AL, she was a daughter of the late Sinuwell Yelverton and Eunice Adams Yelverton. Mrs. Daniels worked as a bus aide and a union president in the Buffalo, NY School District. She was a member of the Eastern Star, enjoyed fishing, and attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Chambersburg.

She is survived by her daughter, Paulette L. Riley and husband Eric of Chambersburg; six grandchildren, Kenneth Johnson of Hagerstown, MD, Adrean Mitchell of Chambersburg, Robert Bennett of Chambersburg, Carmalieta Thompson of Chambersburg, Shanthoni Riley of TX, and Sayeeda Daniels of Buffalo, NY; fifteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Oliver Daniels; two children, Kenneth C. Daniels, and infant daughter Deborah Jean Daniels; one sister; and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Nathan Bell officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
