Helen Kramer

Helen M. Kramer, 74, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Sunday evening, July 13, 2014 at Quincy Home, where she was a guest for the past several weeks. Born July 5, 1940 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Herbert K. and Grace Musser Reilly. Helen had been employed at the former Nichol’s Department Store in Chambersburg and then as Assistant Manager at the former Cutting Board at the Chambersburg Mall. She had a great affection for cats, loved trout fishing, and enjoyed collecting Fenton Art Glass. She was a former member of Coldspring United Brethren Church.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald E. Kramer, whom she married May 18, 1957 at King Street United Brethren Church; her son, Donald E. Kramer and wife Pam Barnhart Kramer of Mercersburg; grandson Michael D. Barnhart and wife Andrea Markarian; and great-granddaughter Samantha Elizabeth Barnhart, all of Sunapee, NH. She is also survived by three brothers, Herbert K. Reilly, Jr. and wife Jean of Nyesville, PA, Robert Reilly and wife Barb of Blacklick, OH, and William E. Reilly of Seattle, WA; a sister, Kathy Fry and husband Eddie of Whidbey Island, WA, and Caitlin Rae Beck of Chambersburg who Mrs. Kramer babysat for ten years and to whom she was affectionately known as “Honey”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Chismar.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Paul B. Baker officiating. Private interment will be a Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
