Helen Poe

Helen L. Poe, 97, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Monday morning, January 8, 2018 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born October 4, 1920 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Vera Wolfe Foreman. Early in her life Mrs. Poe was employed at the former H.J. Heinz Company. She later retired from Modern Home Appliance where she worked for many years. She was a member of Freedom In Christ Church in Chambersburg and had at one time been a member of the Jolly 60’s.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy L. Pogue (husband George) of Chambersburg; three sons, Ronald W., Richard A., and Randy E. Poe, all of Chambersburg; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Poe; three brothers, Robert, George, and Don Foreman; and a sister, Leona Wiles.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 at Freedom In Christ Church, Chambersburg, PA with her grandson, Pastor John Pogue, officiating. Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until services begin at 1:00 PM at the church.
