Hilda Simms

Hilda Romaine Simms, 87, of Amberson, PA, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at her home. Born July 13, 1929 in Sparks, MD, she was a daughter of the late Roy Daniel and Dora Catherine Kline. Hilda was a graduate of Hereford High School in Hereford, MD. She was a faithful member of Spring Run Bible Church. She loved fried chicken and participating in church functions. A born again Christian, she accepted Christ as her personal savior.

Hilda is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Leroy Simms; and five siblings, Benson, Larry, Betty, Rosalee and Shirley. She is preceded in death by four siblings, Billy, Bob, Doris and Ellen.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Spring Run Bible Church, 20722 Hammond Rd. Spring Run, PA, 17262. Pastor Ryan Henderson and Pastor John Semple will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM in Amberson Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 – 9 PM at the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main Street, Dry Run, PA 17220 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Hilda’s name may be made to the Spring Run Bible Church at the above address.
