Ida Snider

Ida Mary Snider, age 83, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Menno Haven. Born August 16, 1932, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ruth Coble Snider, Sr.
Ms. Snider was a lifelong member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church. She worked in retail sales all of her career at both the former Henri’s Boutique and Fashion Lane in Chambersburg, PA. Ms. Snider enjoyed shopping, family, family functions, and taking in nature.
Surviving is one sister, Ruby S. Patterson of Chambersburg, PA; twelve nieces and nephews, Glenn Snider, Joanne Secrest, Nelson Snider, Larry Patterson, Christine Guyer, Kevin R. Snider, Diane Berger, Kimberly Bock, Brenda Hill, Jere J. Snider, Lisa Allen, and Jeffrey Snider; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Snider Hawbaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Jr., Glenn E., and Jere C. Snider and two sisters-in-law.
Funeral services honoring her life will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at 11 AM at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 7061 Lincoln Way West, P.O. Box 295, St. Thomas, PA 17252, where Pastor Warren C. Heintzelman will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Church. Interment will follow the service in St. Thomas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the above church and address or to Spiritrust Lutheran Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
