Inger A. Pancoast-Edwards, 74, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 1, 2014 at the York Hospital. Born April 7, 1939 in Finland, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Alice Backlund Westerholm. Mrs. Pancoast-Edwards was a graduate of High Point College, High Point, NC. She was a member and Past President of the Tidewater chapter and National Trustee of Finlandia Foundation, a member of the American Contract Bridge League, and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Arlington, VA.
She is survived by her husband, David E. Edwards, whom she married April 9, 1995; two children, Kristina Naggy and husband James of Virginia Beach, VA, and Erik Pancoast and wife Beverly of Gahanna, OH; three step-children, Simon Edwards of Morgantown, WV, Kalab Edwards and wife Katy of Waynesboro, PA, and Seth Edwards and wife Julie of Charlestown, WV; ten grandchildren; her brother, Hans Westerholm andwife Siri of Finland; and many special extended family members and friends. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. David L. Pancoast.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 15, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Interment will be private.
