Irvin E. Miller, 75, of Lincoln Way West Chambersburg, died on Saturday, January 9, in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born on August 1, 1940 in St. Michaels, Cambria County, PA, he was a son of the late Dorsey A. Miller and Anna Brough Miller.
Irv graduated from the Adams Summerhill Joint High School, he then served his country with the U.S. Army. He was the owner of Miller’s Sunoco on Lincoln Way West fo the last 48 years. He was a member of the Detrich-Brechbill American Legion Post 612 in St. Thomas, the 40 et 8, and the Hume McNeil Byers AmVets Post 224 in Chambersburg. Irv enjoyed wathching NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan (Brenna) Miller, whom he married on July 1, 1966; two children, Candy Miller of Chambersburg and Todd Miller of Greencastle; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany and Darian Miller; and triplet great grandsons, Zachary, Izaac and Joshua Miller. Also surviving are 3 sisters, 1 brother and a number of nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 7-9 PM on Thursday, January 14, in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Funeral services and burial in St. Thomas Cemetery with military honors will be privately held for his family on Friday.
