Isabel Drawbaugh

Isabel S. Drawbaugh, 83, of Chambersburg, died on Friday, January 29, 2016 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born on June 26, 1932 in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Gerald Shaffer and Margaret Hoy Shaffer and raised by Walter and Isabel Snyder in Chambersburg.

Isabel worked years ago as a teller at the former Valleybank, and also as a receptionist for the medical practice of Drs. Rahauser,VanKirk, Barton and Davis. She also volunteered at the Coyle Free Library, and she was a member of the Chambersburg First Church of God.

Isabel is survived by her husband of 62 years, Elmer L., whom she married on March 22, 1953; two grandsons, Christopher and Ryan Howell, one great granddaughter, Addalynn Howell, all of Chambersburg, and a sister, Treva Ebersole of Waynesboro. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Howell, in October of 2006 and a brother, Gerald Shaffer.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, February 1st in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, with Pastor Don Drury officiating. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
