Isabel McKenrick

Isabel McKenrick, 88, of Chambersburg, PA, died Sunday morning, April 21, 2013 at The Shook Home. Born September 4, 1924 in Fayetteville, she was a daughter of the late Harry G. and Blanche Jones Mull. Mrs. McKenrick was last employed at K-Mart in Chambersburg and had previously been employed at Knouse Foods in Orrtanna, PA. She had also worked at the former Toby’s, Grant’s, and Nichols, all in Chambersburg. She enjoyed walking and crafts, and had a great love for animals. Her husband, Bernard M. McKenrick, whom she married April 3, 1943, preceded her in death on May 10, 1997.

She is survived by two children, Nancy B. Bateman of Fayetteville, and Terry L. McKenrick of New Franklin; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Duwane McKenrick on August 5, 1981 and her sister, Elizabeth Beam on March 18, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, April 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Pastor Staci Geesaman officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM Wednesday on one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
