Jack G. Hock, age 89, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Quincy Village. Born June 24, 1934, in Shippensburg, PA, he was the son of the late Glen David and Helen Sugart Hock.
Mr. Hock worked as a forklift operator, beginning his career at the former H. J . Heinz Company in Chambersburg, until their closure, and then moving on to the former Baer Packaging and Fresh Express, until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed playing poker, watching game shows billiards, spending time with family, taking a nap, and walking for a Klondike Bar.
Surviving are two children, Jeff Hann of Chambersburg, PA and Jacolyn Reiseinger of Fayetteville, PA; four grandchildren, Chad Helmuth (wife Vicki) of St. Thomas, PA, Crystal Immel (husband Michael) of Hanover, PA, Clayton Howe (wife Terri) of Shippensburg, PA, and Sara Hann (fiancé Tim Fritz) of Shippensburg, PA; one great grandson, Mason Howe; and three siblings, Judy Ridgley, Joann Miller, and Sue Hull. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his wife, Romaine McNew Hann, a daughter, Carole Helmuth, and seven siblings, Gary, Robert, and Kenneth Hock and Romaine Ressler, Mary Smith, Shirly Shultz, and Glenda Seal.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Tim Redmond will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Fayetteville Fire Company, 101 W. Main St., Fayetteville, PA 17222.
