James Beecher

James Lee “Jim” Beecher, age 76, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away unexpectedly in the Chambersburg Hospital on Monday, March 4, 2024. Born in Chambersburg, PA on January 5, 1948, he was the son of the late Paul Edward Beecher and Nancy Grace Jackson.

Jim worked as a self-employed contractor all of his adult life. He enjoyed keeping busy in his later years, this included talking about going fishing, babysitting his great grandchildren, and riding around on his golf cart, however his most cherished pastime was his time spent with his family and family picnics.

Surviving are four children, Tammy L. Regi (Alan) of Fayetteville, PA; Kim M. Wolfe of Fayetteville, PA; Nicole A. Keefer (John) of Orrstown, PA; Kevin J. Beecher (Michele) of Chambersburg, PA; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ed Beecher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Shirley M. Evans Beecher on December 12, 2012 and three siblings, Glenn Edward Beecher, Sr., Mike Beecher, and Winifred Beam.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Terry Hoke will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
