James E. “Jim” Faubel, age 90, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 04, 2013 in the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehab Center. Born September 28, 1922 in Clay Hill, PA, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Catherine Fulton Faubel, Sr.
A U.S. Army veteran, Jim served honorably during WWII, in the infantry as an Army Ranger. He went on to work at various companies including, Fairchild Industries, Chambersburg Auto Parts, Shivley Motors, and finally Wolf’s Head Oil, as a sales rep from 1958 until his retirement in 1979. In addition to his duties as a sales rep, Jim also played an active role in training new sales reps. He also worked for a number of years in the family business, Edith’s pizza. A loving husband and dedicated family man, Jim enjoyed time with his family most of all. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 46 in Chambersburg, PA and the VFW Post 1599 also in Chambersburg, PA.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 63 years, Edith Grace Corsi Faubel, whom he married on July 22, 1949; his son, Robert E. Faubel (wife Sharon) of Chambersburg, PA; his granddaughter, Dawn Coletti (husband Joseph) of Cary, NC; great-grandchildren Dominic and Cora Coletti; and two siblings, Harry E. “Bud” Faubel, Jr. (wife Barbara) and Mary Ellen Faubel.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Pastors Lester Swope and Don Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehab Center, 201 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
