James Fleagle

James R. Fleagle, Sr., 74, of Millersburg, OH and formerly of Path Valley, died Tuesday morning, October 23, 2012 at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon, OH. Born March 2, 1938 in Doylesburg, he was a son of the late Homer M. and Alice O’Donnell Fleagle. James retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg.

He is survived by five children, Susan D. Baer and husband Ken of Orrville, OH, Karen Newell and husband Roger of Newville, PA, Judy Devlin and husband John of Shade Gap, PA, James R. Fleagle, Jr. and companion Melinda Clayton of East Waterford, PA, and Marietta Hamilton and husband Richard of Burnt Cabins, PA; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife, Rachel Fleagle of Fannettsburg; three brothers, Paul Fleagle of Fort Loudon, PA, Wilbur Fleagle of Doylesburg, PA, and Dale Fleagle of Falling Waters, WV; and two sisters, Grace Shearer and Betty Hockenberry, both of Doylesburg, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Fleagle; a son, Ricky L. Fleagle; two brothers, Richard and Jesse Fleagle; a sister, Irene Piper; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Dry Run Church of the Brethren. Rev. Roy Fahnestock will officiate. Interment will follow at Doylesburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main Street, Dry Run, PA and one hour prior to the service at the church.
