James Gorman

James Richard Gorman, Jr., age 59, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, April 16, 2012. Born August 1, 1952 in Inkerman, PA, he was the son of the late James R. Gorman, Sr. and Jule Marshalonis Gorman of Fairless Hills, PA.

Mr. Gorman was a graduate of Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, PA. Mr. Gorman was the owner and operator of Gorman Trucking for over 18 years before his retirement in 2008. Jim enjoyed spending time restoring his Corvette and riding motorcycles. Jim had a big heart and a great sense of humor, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his sisters, Marlene Washburn of Chambersburg, PA and Kathleen Paradie (husband Charles) of Wallingford, CT; two nieces, Shaun R. Washburn and Donna Muhr (husband John) of Nantucket, MA; and nephews, Rahmil Teasley and Kian Washburn of Alexandria, VA and Charlie Paradie, Jr. (wife Donna) of CT, Michael Paradie (wife Dalia) of NH, and David Paradie (wife Nancy) of CT; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 12:30 PM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Fr. Keith Carroll will celebrate. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming, PA at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 2325 Country Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
