James E. Snyder, 71, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Tuesday morning, September 25, 2018 at his home. Born April 26, 1947 in Havre de Grace, Maryland, he was a son of the late Donald C. and Mabel M. Warner Snyder. James was employed with Occupational Service, Inc. in Chambersburg, retiring after fifty years of service. An avid reader, he read for nine years to children in the Head Start program. A sports enthusiast, he enjoying professional bowling, and was a fan of the New York Yankees, and the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by his brother, Donald C. Snyder, Jr. of Mount Joy, PA; several aunts and uncles and their families; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Services, entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA, will be private. His nephew, Rev. Greg Helman will officiate.
