Janet Elstun

Janet Margaret (Lesher) Elstun, second daughter of the late David Stouffer and Ethel Mae Barnhart Lesher, was born November 23, 1931, in Chambersburg, PA. Her soul was taken off this earth to its eternal reward on November 26, 2021, making her sojourn on earth 90 years, and 3 days.

Realizing the need of a Savior, she was baptized into the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Falling Spring district, on September 2, 1951. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Morris Edward Elstun on October 14, 1962, with two children blessed to this union while living in California.

Those mourning this loss is the daughter and son-in-law, Eileen (Noel) Flora, daughter-in-law, Crystal Elstun; two grandsons, Dustin and Dakota; one granddaughter, Brittany; several great-grandchildren; sisters Marie (Melvin) Wolf and Faye (Eugene) Wolf; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Those preceding her in death, besides her parents, were her husband Morris; son Allen; sisters and brother-in-laws, Gladys and Glenn Bowman, Phyllis and Harlan Benedict; and brother and sister-in-law, Grover and Alia Flory.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2021 at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. The funeral service will be held on 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Falling Spring Old German Baptist Brethren meeting house. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
