Janet Jeffrey

Janet (Carver) Jeffrey, 86, of Chambersburg, PA, died Friday morning, November 27, 2015, at the Shook Home. Born April 17, 1929, in Binghamton, NY, she was a daughter of the late John and Reba (Dufford) Carver. She was employed as a food service manager with the Maine-Endwell School District in Endwell, NY, retiring in 1986.

Mrs. Jeffrey is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, George, whom she married November 25, 1948; two daughters, Dawn E. Kvasny of Chambersburg and Kathleen L. Torrance of York; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Brett F. Bowman and his son Max; Gwendolyn S. Corcoran, her husband Mike, and their children Jeffrey, Katelyn, and Elizabeth; and Jay Kenneth Langton, his wife Martina and their children Christina, Megan, and Cody.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until services begin at 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 1, 2015, in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Chaplain Vernon Isner will officiate. Interment will be private.
