Janet Marie (Robinson) Rotz, 82, passed from this life and entered Paradise on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from her home with her sons by her side. Born on April 26, 1939 in Mercersburg, Janet was a daughter of the late Elsie V. (Burkholder) Robinson and the late James C. Robinson of Mercersburg.
Janet was raised in the Protestant faith. She was married on September 24, 1955 to Marlin J. Rotz, to whom she was a devoted wife for 47 years. Marlin preceded her in death on October 19, 2002. In addition to her husband, she was a devoted mother to her their three sons, Marlin E. “Gene” (wife Ann) of Shippensburg, Edward J. “Ed” (wife Susan) of Fayetteville and Alan C. of Chambersburg.
She will be forever loved and missed by four grandchildren, Zach (wife Tish) Rotz, Izaak (wife Shelly) Rotz, Desiree (husband Michael) Parret, and Jesse (wife Jordan) Rotz; as well as seven great grandchildren, all of whom she loved immensely. Also surviving are siblings, Martha (husband James) Gress, Maynard (wife Sandra) Robinson, Darlene (husband Donald) Seville, Sharlon (husband Michael) Miller, Leroy (wife Julia) Robinson, Harold (wife Loretta) Robinson, and Theresa Robinson.
Aside from her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Frances (husband William) Hager, Betty (husband Robert) Gipe, and Hazel (husband Merle) Miller; and one brother, Raymond Robinson.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, with Pastor Murray Stevens officiating.
