Janice M. Carbaugh, age 84, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at her home. Born November 11, 1933, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Paul W. and Margaret Cordell Statler.
Mrs. Carbaugh worked as a nurse for over 41 years. Her passion was spending time with family, especially her granddaughter and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed church activities and reading.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia A. Rzomp (T.L. Lewis) of Hagerstown, MD and Pamela J. Brown of Waynesboro, PA; a granddaughter, Nicole Myers (husband Brad) of Chambersburg; two great-grandchildren, Camden and Aubrey Myers; and four siblings, Paul “Dick” Statler, Barbara Keckler, Norma Nigh, and Judie Karn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morvil “Dave” Carbaugh in 2000 and three siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Dwan Newsome will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Gipe’s Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Calvary Assembly of God Church, 116 Snider Ave, Waynesboro, PA 17268 or the New Franklin Assembly of God Church, 2355 New Franklin Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
