Janice Stevens

Janice M. Martin Stevens, age 72, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 27, 1946, in Shippensburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Gilmer L. “Marty” and Isabel Devor Martin.
Mrs. Stevens was a 1964 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She worked at Letterkenny Army Depot for 23 years, retiring in 1999, as a production planner. She enjoyed crafting, cross stitch, antiquing, spending time with grandchildren, her beloved cat, and friends and family.
Surviving is her husband of 32 years, Robert J. “Bob” Stevens, whom she married in 1986, two children, Mark Spangler of Chambersburg, PA and Melissa Doss of Mechanicsburg, PA; two step-children, Kelly Stevens Lescarbeau of FL and Krystal Stevens Broy of FL; her step mother, Amelia Martin of Chambersburg, PA; seven grandchildren, Em, Zachery, Noah, and Sadie Doss and Nicholas Lescarbeau and Preston and Milania Broy; and a step sister, Kim Peiffer of Chambersburg, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd., West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
