Jared Stopyra

Jared Dalton Stopyra, age 15, of Johnstown, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 18, 2015. Born July 27, 2000 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Andrew Thomas Stopyra, Jr. and Jami Rae Hartman.
Jared was a student at Johnstown Middle School. He enjoyed helping others, including volunteering at the St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen and taking cooking classes through Goodwill.
In addition to his parents, Jared is survived by four siblings, Dustin Stopyra, Ashley Haines, Andrew Stopyra III, and Carrie Stopyra; his paternal grandparents, Janet Stopyra ( companion David Buterbaugh)and Andrew Stopyra, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Sandra Weber (companion Eveline Rasp) and Kenneth Hartman (wife Linda); his paternal great grandmother, Shirley Brubaker; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins .
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 6 – 8 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. Services and interment will be private.
