Jean A. Creager Walls, age 74, of Race Track Road St. Thomas, died on Thursday, September 22, 2011 in the Harrisburg Hospital. Born on September 12, 1937 in Upton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Albert Creager and Zella Shultz Creager. She was the widow of Wayne J. Walls Sr., who preceded her in death on November 5, 2008.
Surviving are four sons, Wayne J. Walls Jr. and wife, Linda of St. Thomas, Larry E. “Boz” Walls and wife, Gladys of Chambersburg, Richard L. Walls and wife, Susie, and Gary L. Walls and wife, Beth, all of St. Thomas; one daughter, Karen S. Walls and companion, Dale Alleman of St. Thomas; 2 sisters, Dorothy Louise Coldsmith and Helen Bricker; brother Roy Creager and twin brother, Dean Creager;11 grandchildren, Michael, Jeff, Ryan, Keith, Rodney, Carrie, and Mehgan Walls, Kayla Clevenger, Brandy Linn, and Amber and Devin Thomas; 9 great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Skyleigh, Myleigh, Gunnar, Dawson, McKenzie, Emileigh, Parker and Gabe. She will also be missed by her beloved dog, Roxy. Aside from her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Paul and Glenn Creager; 1 sister, Florence Creager; and a great grandson, Michael Wayne Walls Jr.
Retired from World Kitchen, Jean also had worked for J. Schoeneman years ago. In addition, she was an integral part of her family’s businesses, St. Thomas Towing and Auto Repair, St. Thomas Trucking, and the Checkered Flag Lube Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, with Rev. Harold E. Yeager officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
