Jean Walters

Jean E. Walters, age 80, went home to be with her Lord, Friday morning, June 28, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born February 28, 1933 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd O. Miller, Sr. and the late Catherine E. Wolfe Miller.
Mrs. Walters was a 1950 graduate of Waynesboro High School. A homemaker most of her working years, Mrs. Walters had a passion for taking care of her husband and family. She was a member of the King Street United Brethren Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Traveling.
Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Ronald E. Walters, whom she married on August 2, 1952; four children, Stephen E. Walters (wife Patti) of Greencastle, PA; Cathy E. Pristas (husband Michael) of Chambersburg; Cynthia E. Wagaman (husband Ray) of Fayetteville, PA; and Cheryl E. Walters (partner John Lightner) of Chambersburg, PA; eleven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Audrey J. Miller in infancy, Lloyd O. Miller, Jr., and David L. Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Paul B. Baker and Rev. Lester F. Stine will officiate. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Monday, July 1, 2013 from 7-9 PM and on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
