Jeanne Helm

Jeanne E. Helm, 81, a resident at ManorCare Health Services and formerly of 200 North Main Street, Chambersburg, PA, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 11, 2011. Born May 10, 1930 in Letterkenny Township, she was a daughter of the late Isaac W. and Jessie M. Freet Zeek. She attended Chambersburg area schools. A homemaker most of her life, Jeanne was a faithful member of Christian Life Assembly of God near Chambersburg. She enjoyed painting, drawing, writing poetry and songs. Her beloved husband, Norman E. Helm, preceded her in death on December 1, 1988.

She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Bunker and husband LeRoy of Chambersburg; a son, Kevin D. Helm, Sr. and wife Debbie of St. Thomas; five grandchildren, Loree Seymour, LeRoy M. Bunker, Marcus Bunker, Kevin Helm, Jr., and Noelle Helm; and four great-grandchildren, Lathan, Liberty, Lincoln, and Rena. The last of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Christian Life Assembly of God with Rev. Joe Pickens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Upper Strasburg United Methodist Cemetery.
