Jeanette M. “Jean” Buhrman, 89, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 28, 1925 in Hedgesville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Murphy and Ida Rudisill Mouse. Her beloved husband, Lawrence J. Buhrman, preceded her in death on January 17, 1985.
Jean spent her working years as a teller at F&M Trust Company, retiring from that position in 1999. After her retirement, she worked part time at the American Red Cross. Jean was active, serving on the Franklin County Election Board, working at the election polls in Marion, and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of AARP and Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Jean is survived by 6 sons, John R. (Leonard) of Chambersburg, Nicholas L. (Sharon), of Chambersburg, Thomas L. (Cheryl), of Waynesboro, Frederick J. ( Sandra) of Greencastle, Philip L. of Hagerstown, and Patrick L. of Marion; a daughter, Constance M. Buhrman (Max) of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Mouse and wife Janet of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Thomas Mouse, William Mouse, and Vallora Geiman.
A Memorial Service will be offered on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 7 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Fr. Louis Rodriguez will officiate. The family will receive friends in the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment at Corpus Christi Catholic Cemetery will follow on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10 AM.
