Jenny Golden

Jenny L. Golden, age 36, of Chambersburg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 2, in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born on August 28, 1975 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Lee R. and Darlene Ritchey Burkholder of Chambersburg, PA.

A 1993 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Jenny worked as an LPN at Shippensburg Health Care Center, Menno Haven, the Chambersburg Hospital, and Washington County Hospital. She was a member of the Open Door Church, and actively participated in the Awana Program. In addition, she was a past member of Job’s daughters.

Aside from her parents, she is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Jeffery L. Golden, whom she married on December 20, 1997; her children, Noah A. and Rachel M. Golden, both at home; paternal grandparents, Noah and Bertha Burkholder; brothers Brad L. Burkholder (wife Karen) and Cory J. Burkholder, all of Chambersburg. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Samuel W. Ritchey and Mabel Christman Ritchey

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Open Door Church, 600 Miller St., Chambersburg, PA; with Rev. Mike Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, December 6, in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, and also one hour prior to the service in the church.
