Jerome Albert

Jerome C. Albert, 80, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Thursday morning, July 17, 2014 at ManorCare Health Services. Born October 18, 1933 in Altoona, PA, he was the son of the late Jerome C. and Anna Wiesen Albert. Mr. Albert was a graduate of Homestead High School, Homestead, PA, and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He served with the US Navy during the Korean War and retired in 1988 from Letterkenny Army Depot where he had been employed as a Computer Systems Analyst. He attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Chambersburg. Mr. Albert was a history buff, enjoyed walking dogs, bicycling, and traveling, and was a loyal friend of Bill.

He is survived by four children, Jane Cline of Chambersburg, Susan Freche and husband Antoine of Bristow, VA, Michael Albert and wife Valerie of Chambersburg, and Mark Albert and wife Michelle of Fairfield; five grandchildren, Katie Cline, Connor Freche, Bridgit Albert, Garrett Freche, and Bryan Freche; and a special friend, Natalie Coleman of Chambersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 21, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Rick Noll officiating. Interment with military honors by members of the Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gettysburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
