Joan Singer

Joan Singer, 65, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, at Hershey Medical Center. Born July 21, 1953, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Betty Shreiner Singer. Joan was a 1971 graduate of the Waynesboro Area Senior High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV. She was currently employed with Keystone Human Services in Chambersburg. Joan loved her cats and enjoyed gardening, crafts, and reading. She was an active member of the National Rose Society and earned many awards for her arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Randy K. Hetrick, whom she married January 18, 2013, and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betsy Young.

A memorial service to celebrate Joan’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 11, 2018, in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Aaron Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
