John Dale

John Dahl Dale, 93, of Chambersburg, PA, passed Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Dale retired from the United States Army later, from the Department of Defense. During his military career he served in World War II and the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elenore Dahl McKinin; his wife, Lila Virginia Burt Dale; and his sister, Marianne DeMaria.

He was greatly loved and will be remembered and missed by his daughter, Salome Stephens; his rescue puppy, Cooper; three nieces; a beloved god-daughter, many great nieces, great nephews, and close friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Dr. Lois A. Waters will officiate. Interment with full military honors will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
