John Hoffman

John T. Hoffman, 73 years of age, from Chambersburg, PA, went to the Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2011. Born August 1937 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late John T. and Ida Catherine Hoffman. John served in the U.S. Navy, and after 32 years of service he retired from the U.S. Post Office. In addition he was a life long member of Second Lutheran Church.

John will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Rosalie Schall Hoffman, two daughters, Cheryl E. Day (Linn) and Cynthia Hoffman (Lisa Nusbaum), and two grandsons, Derek L. and Eric J. Day.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Pastor Henry Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 24 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will follow the service, in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made in John’s memory to the Second Evangelical Lutheran Church, 240 E. Washington St., Chambersburg, PA.
