John W. “Boyzie” Norman, IV, 83, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at his home on Monday, March 29, 2021. Born and raised in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late John Norman, III and Alberta (Demas) Norman.
A 1956 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School, he then honorably served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. Boyzie was employed Corning Glass for 22 years as a truck driver before working in maintenance at Dilly’s in Chambersburg for 15 years, retiring in 2014. He really enjoyed fishing, restoring old automobiles, and traveling to Aruba with his wife, Leila.
Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Leila (Van Pelt) Norman, whom he married on July 18th, 1974; children John Norman, V (wife Linda), of Greencastle, PA, Melissa Norman of Dublin Mills, PA, Richard Barton (wife Lois) of Breezewood, PA, and Shelby Berry of Chambersburg; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings Pat Higgins of Las Vegas, NV and Gene Butler of Davenport, IA.
