Jonathan D. "Jon" Cummings

Jonathan D. "Jon" Cummings, 54, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, PA. Born December 21, 1970 in Chambersburg, he was the son of Joann Koons Henderson and the late Dana Cummings.

Jon was a 1989 graduate of James Buchanan High School. He was employed with Hoffman Mills in Shippensburg for 10 years, and most recently as a Quality Assurance Officer with Dauphin County. He enjoyed playing guitar, working on cars, shooting, reloading, playing Crash Bandicoot and Spyro with his son, and spending time with his family. An avid sports fan, Jon also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and Jeff Gordon in NASCAR.

In addition to his mother, Jon is survived by two children, Denver Cummings (also his best friend) and wife, Arian of Fayetteville, and Raullen Cummings of Huber Heights, OH; three grandchildren, Kinsley, Maevlin, and Minkah (expected in April of 2025); three step-children, Davida Silver, Breonna Almeida and Samantha Rhinehart; two step-grandchildren, Evelynn and October; two sisters, Penny Cummings (Shari Cale) of Harrisburg, Kelly Sanders of St. Thomas; and three ex-wives, Dawn Brosious, Rochelle Cummings and Sasha Cummings. Aside from his father, Jon was preceded in death by his step-father, Richard "Dick" Henderson.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2025, in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Pastor John Pogue will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
