Jordan M. Gilmore, 21, of Chambersburg, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 26, 2017. Born July 29, 1995, he was the son of Jennifer Smith and Kevin Gilmore.
Jordan was a 2014 graduate of CASHS. He then earned his certification as a Diesel Mechanic from UTI in 2015. He was employed as an auto technician at Highlands’ Tire and Service Centers in Chambersburg. Jordan loved working on cars, fishing and crabbing. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan and was always there to help and spend time his family and many friends. His signature phrase was C-YA!
In addition to his parents, Jordan is survived by five siblings, Brandee and Kristin Evans of Hagerstown, Jade Gilmore of Cottonwood Heights, UT, and Kiarra Harris and Jasmyne Harris-Gilmore, both of Hagerstown; His maternal grandparents, Debbie McAninch of Fayetteville and Sam and Carolyn Smith of Hagerstown; two great-grandparents, Georgia Rodgers and Samuel E. Smith, both of Hagerstown; his aunt and uncle Carolyn Thompson of Shippensburg and Larry Butler of Hagerstown; four cousins, Brent, Trent and Twanna Smith and Destinee Addison; numerous nieces and nephews; and his father figure throughout his life, Ryan Evans.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, January 30, 2017, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Pastor David Price will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. As a tribute to Jordan please attend wearing the color orange, Redskins gear or anything Superman. This isn’t goodbye, its c-ya!
