Joseph R. Bennett, 75, of Spring Run, died on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at home. Born on September, 26, 1938 in Baltimore County, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Marion Cumberland Bennett.
A hard worker, Joe is survived by his loving wife 55 years, Lorraine, whom he married on May 17, 1958. He is also survived by 2 daughters, Marilyn A. Carroll and husband Glenn of Middle River, MD and Lisa J. Jones of Joppatown, MD; 4 sons, Robert J. Bennett, of Middle River, MD, Frank J. Bennett, of Youngstown, NY, Dean J. Bennett of Mercersburg and Glenn J. Bennett of Spring Run, PA; 6 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his Golden Retriever, Penny. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amelia Coyner; 2 brothers, John J. and George G. Bennett; and one sister Mary Wilbberger
Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main Street, Dry Run, PA.
