Josephine Bryan

Josephine G. “Gay” Bryan, age 85, of Spring Run, PA, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Born August 25, 1929 in Spring Run, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Susan Hammond Wilson.
Mrs. Bryan was a 1947 graduate of the former Metal Township High School. She was a homemaker most of her adult years. Gay enjoyed sewing, reading, country music, and spending time with and caring for her family. She was a member of the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church.
Surviving is her husband of 66 years, Russell Bryan whom she married in 1948, two children, Larry Bryan (Beatrice) of Spring Run, PA and Linda Taylor (fiancé Robert Hammond) of Spring Run, PA; four grandchildren, Shelly McMullen (Chris) of Fannettsburg, PA, Angela Taylor of South Carolina, Tony Taylor(Carrie) of Needmore, PA, and Ricky Taylor (fiancé Erica) of Nossville, PA; four great – grandchildren, Kyli, Anastasia, and Alijah Simmons and Grant McMullen; and a sister-in-law, Grace MacInnes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Sky Taylor.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11 AM at the Upper Path Valley Cemetery, Spring Run, PA; where Rev. Marlin A. “Butch” Neil will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the Agett – Geisel Funeral Home, Dry Run, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 128, Spring Run, PA 17262.
