Joyce Gossert

Joyce E. Gossert, 55, of Chambersburg, died on Friday January 27, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 19, 1956 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Bertha Kerlin Yeager and the late George E. Yeager. Prior to her illness, she was employed in building maintenance by Golden Maintenance. Joyce loved gardening, flowers, music and spending time with her family, especially her two very special grandchildren, Cassidy and Anias.

In addition to her mother, Joyce is survived by her loving and devoted husband John, whom she married on July 26, 1974; a daughter, Laura E. Gossert of Waynesboro; two grandchildren; and a sister Shirley M. Hassler of Chambersburg. Aside from her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald E. Yeager.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 31, 2011 at 11:30 AM in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Chaplain Galen Lehman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM on Monday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
