Joyce Morrison

Joyce Lynn Morrison, 73, of Benton, PA and formerly of Chambersburg, died on Sunday, May 13, 2012 in Bonham Nursing Center, Stillwater, PA. Born March 31, 1939 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl (Jones) Young. A graduate of Wilson College, Joyce majored in German and went on to work at the College for over 20 years. She taught Sunday school for many years, enjoyed reading and talking and loved animals and children. Her beloved husband, Rev. Robert Dean Morrison, preceded her in death on February 7, 2007.

She is survived by a brother, Harry Young Jr. of Harvey’s Lake, PA; five nieces and nephews, Tracey Sands, Michael Young, Patty Mitchell, Kathleen Bonsavage, and Kevin Young; many great nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Peggy Young.

The date and time of her memorial service will be announced later. Rev. Jeffrey R. Diller will officiate. Interment in Zion Reformed Cemetery will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
