Juanita Shetler

Juanita M. Cummings Shetler, 64, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening, May 5, 2015 at her home. Born April 9, 1951 in Leesburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Raymond L. and Dorcas Unger Cummings. Juanita had been employed at the former James River Corporation, Pet-Ritz, and at Vandekamps, all in Chambersburg. She enjoyed her later years in life as a homemaker and was a dedicated and loving babysitter to her grandchildren. She was a member of Mountain Top Ministries in Orrtanna. Juanita loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

She is survived by four children, Tammy R. Gelsinger and husband Harold, Niki M. Shearer and husband Andy, Chuck Isenberger, Jr., and Kylie Jo D. Shetler, all of Chambersburg; twelve grandchildren, Kyla, Cody, Jessica, Damion, Harold III, Charlie III, Tatianna, Madison, Tysaac, Raelyn, Lanita, and Tyren; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are six sisters, Shelby Nenninger of Shippensburg, June Roqueplot of Belleville, IL, Barb Coons of Shippensburg, Cindy Ferry of Shippensburg, Rita Fox of Chambersburg, and Connie Hanley of Shippensburg; two brothers, Charlie Cummings and Dale Cummings, both of Chambersburg; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Phillip Cummings; and a sister, Joyce Miley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Pastor Ken Reid officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
