Judy Robertson Landis, 71, of Chambersburg, died unexpectedly on March 4, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born on August 31, 1939, she was the daughter of the late John N. Sr. and Miriam Cromwell Robertson.
Judy touched the lives of many in her 34 years as an elementary school teacher in the Greencastle School District. She retired from her love of teaching in 1995. Judy graduated from Shippensburg State College, where she was a proud member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Richard B. Landis, a daughter Kaye Landis Ringer and husband Michael; a step-son David K. Landis and wife Karen; 5 grandchildren, Hannah, Jude, David, Lindsey and Sean; and 3 brothers, John N. Jr, Samuel C. and William H. Robertson.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday March 8, 2011 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road Chambersburg, PA 17202. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
The family requests memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
