Judy Anne Verdier, 74, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday morning, August 12, 2017 at Harrisburg Hospital. Born August 9, 1943 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Virginia Ruby Foreman. Judy was a 1961 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School and was employed by as an Administrative Assistant with Franklin County Mental Health/Mental Retardation, retiring after twenty years. She attended Chambersburg First Church of God. Judy loved people. She and her daughter were business partners and most recently were enjoying taking a medical transcription course together through Weston University. She was not only her children’s mother, but their friend. She taught them to love and live and will be in their hearts forever. Judy will be missed so dearly because of all the lives she touched during her life. Her memory will be treasured by her family until they are all together again and finally home.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Boughter (husband Jim, Jr.) of Fayetteville; her son, Lamarr “Marty” Verdier, Jr. of Fayetteville; her grand puppy Noah; and her sister-in-law, Pat Foreman of Fayetteville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lamarr Verdier, Sr. in 1996; her sister, Shirley Folelsanger; and her brother, Ronald Foreman.
A service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Chambersburg First Church of God, 2230 Grand Point Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Lawrence Metzler will officiate.
