Julia Goshorn

Julia E. Goshorn, age 88, Chambersburg, PA, entered into heaven on Sunday, January 17, 2016, at her home. Born March 8, 1927, in Antrim Township, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Hilda Fox Black.
Mrs. Goshorn was a 1944 graduate of Greencastle – Antrim High School. She worked for Corning for 29 years, retiring in 1989. Mrs. Goshorn was a member of the Greencastle Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed attended her grandchildren’ s sporting events, watching NASCAR, traveling, and family get together during the holidays.
Surviving are four children; Larry Sellers (wife Jane) of Chambersburg, PA, Sandy Corwell (husband Cork) of Chambersburg, PA, William Sellers of Harpers Ferry, WV, Steve Sellers (wife Bonnie) of Chambersburg, PA; eight grandchildren; fourteen great – grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Knode of Greencastle, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, William, Richard, and Robert Black and Virginia Starliper and Helen Harne.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Pastor Renee Berkey. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20 from 6 – 8 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd. West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
