Julia Martin

Julia Mae Martin, 72, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg. Born September 8, 1941 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Chester C. and Valera B. Lehman Martin. She was a 1959 graduate of the Shippensburg High School.

She is survived by three sisters, Janet A. Martin of Telford, PA, Jean V. Dickerson and husband Carl of Pasadena, CA, and Joan L. Nolt and husband Paul of Chambersburg; two brothers, Jerald L. Martin and wife Betty of Narvon, PA, and Jason L. Martin and wife Leora of Red Lion, PA; sister-in-law, Martha Martin of Glen Mills, PA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, Julia is preceded in death by her brother Jay R. Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Rowe Mennonite Church, 754 Pinola Road, Shippensburg, PA with Minister John Horst officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

The family requests the omission of flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to Rowe Mennonite Church at the above address.
