Julia Schaff

Julia A. Schaff, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Manor Care Health Services. Born January 25, 1940, she was a daughter of the late William and June O’Brien. Her beloved husband, Jacob G. Schaff IV, preceded her in death on August 10, 2012.

Julia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Shippensburg University in 1961. She was employed as a teacher at CASHS until her retirement in 1991. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing computer games.

Julia is survived by two children, Jennifer Diamond of Fayetteville and Jacob G. Schaff V of York, PA; and two grandchildren, Tyler Diamond and Samantha Appleby. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in by her brother, William “Ed” O’Brien.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care and Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive. Chambersburg, PA 17202.
